The Night
MMA, boxing, kickboxing and grappling in a full-size ring and a cage. A DJ between every bout, food on site, and a room that gets loud.
No drive to Charlotte, no arena parking, no nosebleed seats. Doors at five, first bell at six, and you'll be close enough to hear the corners.
Surface One
Ropes, corners, canvas — a regulation ring set up in the gym. Ring bouts get the crowd on three sides.
Surface Two
Our cage, the same one the Wednesday night crew wall-wrestles in. Matches are assigned to whichever surface fits the bout.
Co-Promoted
This isn't a one-gym smoker. Three rooms are putting fighters and people on this night, which means deeper matchmaking, better matches, and nobody stepping in against someone they shouldn't.

Fight promotion
Running fight cards is what they do. Having them on this one means the night runs like a show.
On The Card
Every bout is matched by experience and weight. This is an exhibition — nobody is building a professional record tonight, and nobody gets put in over their head.
Striking and grappling together. The full sport, matched carefully.
Hands only, in the ring. Clean, fast, and easy to follow if you've never watched a fight before.
Hands and feet. The most action per round on most cards.
No strikes. Takedowns, position, submissions — a chess match at speed.
Watch It
Doors open at 5:00 PM and the first bell is at 6:00 PM. There's a live DJ running the room between bouts and food on site, so come hungry and come early — the good spots go first.
This is a family-friendly room. Bring the kids who've been asking what their coach actually does.
Compete
If you want to compete, you need two things done before fight day: the fighter form and the waiver. Do both now — matchmaking happens off that list, and we can't match someone we don't have paperwork for.
Not sure you're ready? Talk to your coach first. If you train somewhere else and want on the card, that's fine too — fill out the form and we'll be in touch.
Vendors & Sponsors
A packed gym for a whole evening, three organizations promoting it, and an audience that bought a ticket on purpose. If you want a table or your name on the night, fill out the form and we'll talk.
Vendor Table
Gear, apparel, food, supplements, local trades — space around the floor from doors to last bout.
Sponsorship
Local businesses have backed this gym since we opened. Fight night is the loudest room we've got.
Tell us whether you want a table, a sponsorship, or both, and what you'd be putting in the room. We'll come back to you with space and pricing. Sooner is better — the floor plan gets locked the week of the event.
On Camera
We have a videographer on site for the whole card, and every match is filmed. Fighters get footage of their bout — which, for a lot of people, is most of the reason to take an exhibition fight in the first place. You can't study a round you can't watch back, and you can't send a highlight you don't have.
If you shoot fights — stills, video, or both — and you want to work this one, put your name in. Send a link to your work and tell us how you like to operate, and we'll come back to you about access and positions.

No. Exhibition cards are the easiest fights to watch — the matches are short, the crowd is loud, and there's a DJ running between bouts. Most of the room on a Lab Wars night is friends and family, not hardcore fans.
Yes. This is a family room — a lot of the people competing have their own kids ringside. If you've got a young athlete who trains here, watching their coaches and training partners compete is the best advertisement for sticking with it we've ever found.
Three organizations. The Sweat Lab hosts it — our building, our ring, our cage. Matrix MMA out of Greensboro is on it with us, and Stryker Fight Championship is co-promoting the card.
That matters more than it sounds. A card built out of three rooms instead of one has a much deeper pool to match from, which means better fights and, more importantly, nobody stepping in against someone they've got no business being across from.
Yes. This is a co-promoted card — Sweat Lab, Matrix MMA and Stryker fighters are all on it, and we're taking entries from outside those rooms too.
Fill out the fighter form and sign the waiver like everybody else, and we'll be in touch about matchmaking. Bring your coach as your corner — one corner per fighter, same rule for everyone.
Your own gear and your one corner. Check in at 5:00 PM sharp. If you have questions about what gear is required for your discipline, call the gym before fight day rather than finding out at check-in — 336-221-4257.
Yes. There's a videographer on site for the whole card and every bout is filmed. Fighters get footage of their own fight.
If you shoot photo or video yourself and you want to work the event rather than watch it, there's a form for that further up the page.
Yes, food on site all evening, plus vendor tables around the floor. Come hungry.

Come watch. Or come fight.
The room's going to be full either way. The only question is which side of the ropes you're on.
