One-on-One Coaching · Gibsonville, NC 27249

Personal Training in Gibsonville, NC

Ready to level up?

Private sessions in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, general fitness and sports performance. Booked around your schedule, not ours.

A class moves at the pace of everyone in it. That is usually fine, and sometimes it is not — because you are working toward something specific, coming back from something, or you would simply rather learn without an audience.

Five disciplines · All experience levels · Flexible scheduling · No long-term commitment

Five Things We Train One-On-One

Pick one, or build a session that mixes them.

Private Lessons

Boxing

Stance, footwork, hands and defense with somebody watching only you. The fastest way to fix a habit, and the reason most people plateau in a group class — nobody has ninety minutes to spend on your feet.

Coached by a Golden Gloves champion with a 16-3 professional record.

Private Lessons

MMA

Striking, clinch, takedowns and ground work at whatever range you need the most work. Useful if you are preparing for something, or if you want the ground game without waiting for it to come around in the rotation.

Cage time available in the session.

Private Lessons

Muay Thai

Hands, shins, knees, elbows and clinch. Thai pads one-on-one are a different experience from a group class — the pace is yours, and the corrections come every round instead of every third one.

Beginner through advanced.

One-on-One

Fitness

Strength, conditioning and body composition, built around where you are now rather than where a template assumes you are. Full use of the weight floor, bags and open space.

No fighting required, and none of it assumed.

Athletes

Sports Performance

Speed, power, agility and conditioning for athletes in any sport. Built around your season — heavier in the off-season, sharper and lighter in it.

Popular with high school athletes in the off-season.

Not sure which?

Most people arrive with a goal rather than a discipline — get in shape, get ready for something, stop getting winded. Tell us the goal and we will tell you honestly what gets you there fastest, including whether a class would do it cheaper.

Talk To A Coach

Who Actually Books Personal Training

In our experience it is almost always one of these five.

The group class is too intimidating

Completely common and nothing to apologize for. A few private sessions to learn the basics, and walking into a class stops being a hurdle. Plenty of our members started exactly this way and never mention it now.

There is a date on the calendar

A fight, a tryout, a season, a wedding, a physical. When there is a deadline, one-on-one is simply faster — no warm-up you do not need, no drilling a technique you already own.

Something specific is not working

You keep dropping your right hand. Your shot has no level change. You gas in round two. These are one-session problems with a coach watching only you, and year-long problems without.

Evenings do not work

Classes run at 5:00 and 7:15. If you work nights, travel, or have a household that makes those impossible, private sessions get booked around your week instead.

How It Works

Four steps, and the first one is free.

1

A conversation first

Tell us the goal, the timeline, any injuries or history, and what your week actually looks like. No charge, no obligation, and no pitch — sometimes the answer is a class, and we will tell you that.

2

Matched to a coach

Boxing goes to a boxing coach, MMA to an MMA coach. Not whoever is free. The right coach for what you are trying to do is most of the value you are paying for.

3

Sessions on your schedule

Booked directly with your coach around your week. Most people train once or twice a week and fill the gaps with classes or open gym, which is included on every membership.

4

Checked against the goal

The plan gets revisited as you progress or as the date gets closer. What worked in week one is rarely still the right work in week eight.

Sports Performance

For athletes who play something else.

Football, wrestling, basketball, soccer, track. Speed, explosive power, change of direction, and the conditioning to still have it in the fourth quarter.

Combat sports coaching turns out to transfer well here, because everything we teach is about producing force from the ground up while somebody is trying to move you. That is most of what athleticism is.

Off-season is when this work actually pays. If your son or daughter has a season starting in a few months, that is the window — and it is the quietest time in our schedule, so it is the easiest to book.

Who You Would Be Training With

The same coaches who run the classes.

Anthony "Arthur" Holt — Boxing

1982 New York Golden Gloves Champion, 165lb Open Class. 16-3 as a professional with 10 or more knockouts, 88-4 as an amateur, former USA Boxing Team member, more than forty years coaching.

An hour of his undivided attention is not a thing most people in this county have access to.

Coach Mike "Duckman" — MMA

Runs the adult MMA program and the youth classes. Striking, wrestling and ground work taught as one connected system, and cage time available inside a private session.

Sean Alder takes Muay Thai. Fitness and sports performance are matched to whichever coach fits the goal.
