Muay Thai & Kickboxing · Burlington, Elon & Gibsonville, NC
The art of eight limbs, taught properly: pad work, technique and partner drilling two nights a week, about 15 minutes from downtown Burlington.
First class free · No contract · 106 E Railroad Avenue, Unit H, Gibsonville, NC
Searching for kickboxing in Burlington mostly turns up fitness classes: fast, sweaty, and no technique. Muay Thai at The Sweat Lab is the martial art itself. You learn to punch, kick, knee, elbow and clinch on Thai pads with a coach correcting you every round, in a gym with a full-size ring and a matted floor.
The All Levels class runs Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM with Coach Gavin, and it is where nearly everybody starts. Advanced Muay Thai follows at 8:00 PM by coach approval. Regular classes are technique, pad work and controlled drilling, not sparring; live sparring is separate and optional. Kids Muay Thai runs the same two nights at 5:30 PM for ages 6–11.
Gear, the coaches and the full breakdown are on the Muay Thai page.
We are at 106 E Railroad Avenue, Unit H, in downtown Gibsonville, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Burlington and about two miles from Elon University. Free parking at the building.

Not for your first class; athletic clothes and water are enough. After that, gloves first, then shin guards. Ask a coach before you buy so you get the right size.
