What Your Kid Gets Here

The punching and kicking is what gets kids excited to come. What keeps parents bringing them back is what they learn along the way: how to keep trying when something is hard, how to look a coach in the eye, and how to handle a tough round without falling apart.

Every class has the same shape, so kids always know what comes next: line up and warm up, learn one skill broken into small steps, practice it with a partner their own size, then finish with conditioning and line up again.

Nobody spars in the kids program. Sparring means practice fighting, and we do not do it with kids. Partners are matched by size and experience, protective gear is worn for every partner drill, and a coach is watching the whole time.

See every class, the gear list and our safety rules on the Kids Martial Arts page.

Pick a Class

Four styles. Boxing uses hands and footwork. MMA (mixed martial arts) mixes striking, takedowns and ground work. Muay Thai is a kickboxing style from Thailand that adds knees and shins. Jiu-jitsu is grappling: wrestling, positions and escapes on the mat, with no punches or kicks.

Questions From Burlington Parents

Will learning to fight make my kid want to fight?

In practice it works the other way. Kids learn how hard this really is, and the rule in our room is simple: what you learn here is only for protecting yourself or someone who cannot protect themselves.

My child has never done a sport. Is that okay?

Yes. The program is built for beginners. Coaches teach one skill at a time and pair kids with partners their own size.

What should they bring to the free class?

Athletic clothes with no zippers or pockets, and water. We provide gloves and pads for the free class.

Do I have to stay during class?

A parent or guardian is responsible for their child before and after class, and kids need to be dropped off and picked up on time. There is a viewing area if you want to stay and watch.

Their First Class Is Free

Put in your child's name and date of birth, plus your name, email and phone, then pick the class and night. You get a confirmation email right away and a reminder the day before, and you sign our waiver online so your child can walk straight onto the mat. No obligation after.
